Your bespoke handmade journey with The Middle Green starts with a chat with Tom — either through phone, email, or face-to-face if you’d like to speak through your ideas in person. Whichever you’re most comfortable with.

During the consultation, we’ll use this time to understand and explore your ideas and vision for the jewellery piece. Do not worry if you’re unsure where to start, with over 16 years of experience we know the right questions to ask. From exploring the styles that appeal to you, materials & sizes, who have inspired the piece, to what it symbolises to you.

At this stage any images, mood boards, social media board collections, or other items are welcomed to help paint the picture and gather inspiration. Following the consultation, you can look forward to receiving your initial designs through a fast turnaround — although exact timings depend on your needs and desires which we will discuss with you.

We will invite you for the second consultation to view and discuss initial sketches and concepts. This is an exciting moment when we get to present to you your idea taking shape. The discussion allows you to see how we’re interpreting your vision and pin down any details still up for consideration. It is also possible to send the designs as a digital 3D model which you can download a free app to view on a smartphone or tablet. This way you can really see it from every angle and give feedback accordingly.

During this step, we can finalise the quotation detailing what will be made, a likely completion date and a final cost. If you wish to proceed, 50% of the cost is payable upfront with the remaining 50% due when you are totally happy with the finished item.

Once you’ve finalised your design, it’s time to bring your bespoke jewellery design to life. With a combination of experienced bench skills, latest technology and our thorough attention to detail, we will transform your design and bring it to life before looking to get it Hallmarked and presenting it to you.

At the earliest convenience, we’ll organise a consultation at a convenient location, organise a special delivery service or arrange it to be bought for you personally for the big reveal! The Middle Green will present your bespoke, handmade, piece of jewellery, boxed and ready for you or your loved one to treasure and love.

We’re aware about how special this bespoke jewellery piece will be to you, your family and the intended loved one. All work is guaranteed for 2 years as long as the jewellery has been appropriately cared for. You are welcome to bring any item of jewellery made by The Middle Green back once a year for a complimentary clean and polish as well as a general check for any wear and tear.

On projects where you’d like us to use your diamonds and gemstones, we understand how incredibly valuable these are to you and that having them redesigned can sometimes be a quite sensitive and daunting project. However, with our skillset, knowledge and with your input, together we can create a new piece you can treasure for a lifetime.
